The problem we have in society right now, is that we’re fooled into thinking ‘overnight success’ exists. It seems so easy.
However, this just isn’t true. In fact, it couldn’t be further from the truth.
In reality, if you are going to be successful in business and in life, then at some points you are going to fail. The great JK Rowling once said; you can’t go through life avoiding failure, unless you go through playing it safe, and therefore you fail by default.
The important thing is the attitude we have towards failure. You can look at failure one of two ways – take the failure at face value and be disappointed, or you can learn something from it, and use it to bring about success.
The only failure is the failure to participate.
You get back what you put in; if you give100%, you will receive 100% in return.
If you can, learn from other people’s mistakes before making them yourself. Learning from your mistakes is the expensive way to go about life.
A quote recently attributed to Tiger Woods: the harder I practice, the luckier I get – isn’t that funny?
He isn’t lucky, in fact he is learning from his mistakes and continuously improving.
Mark Webber – average is easy, that’s why it’s popular. The ability to be world class depends on the length of time you are willing to be average. To go from average to world class requires participation.
Just one more quote, from the founder of ActionCOACH Brad Sugars: the biggest risk you can take is to do nothing.
Change happens when people are sick and tired of being sick and tired!
